Although outdoor activities do always have an inherant risk at Highland Activities we understand that safety is in the forefront of every teachers & parents mind when taking young people on an outdoor experience.
Through regular risk assessments, policy reviews and maintaining a high standard of equipment & staff, Highland Activities will endevour to ensure that your activity is as safe as possible. We will also always try to ensure that we do not remove the elements of adventure from our activities because after all, this is what makes them fun and exciting!
AALA Licencing
The Adventure Activities licencing service is the body that is responsible for the issueing of adventure activities licences on behalf of the Health and Safety Executive to outdoor opprators that wish to work with young people unsupervised in the outdoors.
Highland Activities hold a current AALA licence and have had since 2009. This means that we are inspected once per year and our plocies, proceedures, staff and equipment are all looked at. This also gives Highland Activities to keep up to date with current best practice in the industry.
Our AALA licence information can be viewed here & we will always happily supply you with any supporting documentation that is required for your trip.
